Jack
I’m a UK-based Latin dance instructor and organiser specialising in partner work dances, with a strong emphasis on musicality, connection, and expressive movement.
In 2018, I founded my own brand of dance classes in Norwich, which has since grown into a thriving dance ecosystem. What began as a small offering has developed into a large, supportive community and a full team of teachers, all working together to grow, evolve, and push the Norwich Latin dance scene to new heights each year.
I’ve taught regular classes, workshops, and festivals across the UK, and I’m known for breaking down complex concepts into engaging, accessible material for dancers of all levels. My teaching philosophy centres on long-term development, musical understanding, and creating spaces where people feel confident, connected, and inspired.
Alongside my work in dance, I have a couple of exciting projects I'm working on and place a strong focus on personal growth, both physically and professionally. I’m committed to building a sustainable and stable future, investing in self-development through training at the gym, and continually raising my standards. Looking ahead, I aspire to teach internationally and one day earn the title of international artist.

Maggie
Hi I’m Maggie. A retired High school and 6th form Science teacher. After retirement I started to spend more time at the gym particularly doing yoga.
It had always been a passion in my life , however, my working life had often gotten in the way of allowing yoga fully into my life. As I lost myself in my class I found myself becoming calmer in my daily life, breathing better, feeling good and sleeping better.
I made the decision to retrain as a yoga teacher so I could give back to others the emotional states I had discovered in myself. I have been teaching yoga for over 3 years now and have established classes at a number of different venues.
Hearing how yoga has changed the way class members feel and how they approach life differently is so fulfilling.
Albert Einstein is my favourite physicist and he is quoted as saying that the next medicine will be frequency.
Having experienced sound baths myself and been on some amazing mental journeys during them I decided to investigate further.
So I booked myself on some sound healing courses and learnt how to communicate with dragon frequency healing tubes and gongs. I have been leading sound journeys for about a year now helping people experience how calming, balancing and nurturing being bathed in sound is and how life can change.
Yoga and sound baths go together incredibly well to aid well being and balance. So this is now another passion to add to my yoga practice.
Beth
I’m a yoga teacher with 19yrs of teaching classes, courses, 1:1’s, yoga teacher trainings, and retreats that also offers yoga teacher mentoring.
My first 26 yrs were spent immersed in professional dance training to degree level and creative expression. This has deeply influenced how I understand, approach, and nurture the body, energetics, curiosity and the confidence to embody more freedom in self expression.
Having also studied Psychology and being an Integrative psychotherapist means that my classes are based in compassion and self discovery, and provide ways to learn how to work with our nervous system, mind, emotions and the body’s innate intelligence.
The last 9 yrs include the creating and holding of women’s circles to explore menstrual cycle awareness, the hormonal system and sense of self, intuition, creativity, expression and embodiment.
I offer a welcoming space that’s nurtures grounding, creative expression, expansion and depth through movement, and breathwork cultivating more connection, confidence, and joy.

Grace
Hello!👋🏻 I'm Grace and I love dancing and moving, listening to music, going to the beach and exploring my creativity wherever and however I can. I endeavour to spread joy, have fun and not take life too seriously whenever I can. I am currently learning to skateboard, something of which I have admired and wanted to do since my teens and I am thoroughly enjoying the process of learning something new and making friends with the floor. (those that know me well would probably question this hobby on account of my clumsiness but I'm still in one piece so far) I moved from Leicester to Norwich in 2023 to be closer to the coast and explore new opportunities and meet new (wonderful) people, which I absolutely have done so far and I am excited to discover what else this lovely city will bring my way in the future!
I have moved throughout my whole life from training to be a dancer from the age of 6 to fitness training as an adult and leaving university to pursue a career in coaching in 2018, anything that gets me moving and feeling with some good music is the key to my soul, and I’m now in the process of creating something that allows me to share that with you! At The Lion's Den City, I will be initially offering bodyweight fitness classes while I continue to create a dance based offering that I hope to bring to the den very soon!

What is GoJu Ryu Karate?
GoJu Ryu Karate was formulated in the early 20th century by Chojun Miyagi in Okinawa. It is a traditional form of karate based heavily on kata, forms, sequences of movements and the interpretation of these moves. It also incorporates many other activities; strength training, partner training, push hands. This breadth of activities makes it ideal for all ages and abilities.
Who Was Chojun Miyagi?
Chojun Miyagi was from a wealthy family of tea merchants in Okinawa, this gave him the financial freedom to study martial arts. He travelled to China on business and also studied Chinese martial arts while he was there. These Chinese influences are clearly present in Go Ju Ryu Karate. He was very interested in physical fitness and trained as a gymnast as a young man, he was very forward thinking about fitness for his era.
Who am I?
I have studied martial arts my entire adult life, first in Aikido for ten years then the last thirty four years in GoJu Ryu Karate. As neurodivergent person this had aided me greatly in navigating life and this is an aspect of the training I hope to bring to The Lions Den.
Chojun Miyagi made a strong emphasis on the coordination of breath with movement, this is foundational to the karate
